iam

iam is a personal self-portrait series project created over a few years - in tandem with my own growth and development as a woman, Christian, wife, mother and creative to identify a few. The first of the works was created as a commission for Bronx Pop-Up Art Gallery and Fundraiser: "I Love Myself!" raising money for "pretty brown girls." As life progressed, my personal representation did also. The series of eleven 'so happened' to naturally culminate on the 11th anniversary of my baptism and spiritual rebirth.
